KASPER
Dentists are required to obtain a KASPER report before prescribing a hydrocodone combination product (exceptions, with conditions, for oral surgery). At this time, 3 hours of KASPER continuing education will be required by the end of 2019 to renew your dental license. If you possess a DEA license, please evaluate your compliance with these requirements. NKDS will offer a KASPER course in 2019.
SEDATION FACILITY RENEWAL
The Kentucky Board of Dentistry (KBD) requires a current license for Sedation Facilities. You may renew your Sedation Facility License until June 30, 2018. For more information, visit the KBD website.
ON-LINE CE TOOL
Please familiarize yourself with the on-line CE tool. It is highly recommended that you begin tracking your continuing education with this tool. At the end of the next renewal cycle, the KBD will require proof of required continuing education credits via the CE tool.
