    • Checks department voicemail and responds to messages within one hour.
    • Prepares daily deposits for bank transfer and secures cash until transferred to authorized personnel or deposited at the bank. Balances cash collections with posted payments.
    • Handles any necessary paperwork for patients appointments.

    Job Requirements

    • High School or equivalency

    The dental assistant’s primary role is to ensure each appointment goes smoothly for the dentist and that the patient experience is excellent from start to finish.

    The dental assistant must work with other clinical team members to ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining proper communications with the administrative team.

    Principle duties include screening of patients, chair-side assisting, patient education and post-op instructions, sterilization and infection control, taking x-rays and impressions, pouring and trimming models, equipment maintenance, as well as maintaining dental supplies and inventory.     • Comfort with technology and dental software; familiarity with Dentrix a plus
    • Any other tasks assigned to improve the office and patient experience, as needed

    Scheduled patient hours are full days on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays as well as Thursday mornings. Hygiene administrative and non-patient hours are on Thursday afternoons. This equates to approximately 30-32 hours per week. Additional administrative hours may be considered for the right candidate. Approximately once per month, Saturday morning patient hours are optional but not required.
